Maternity photos that feel like you.

If modern, magazine-inspired photos are your vibe, then I’m your photographer.

Editorial Maternity Photography in Hampton Roads, Virginia

Stand here, hands on the belly.

Stand over there, hands on the belly.

Smile, sit here, hands on the belly.

Doesn’t that sound kind of…miserable? You know it does, which is why you waited SO long to do a maternity session. You’re right around the corner from having this baby, and a photoshoot might be fun, but only if you get to do it your way. After all, you want your kids to know that mom never lost her spark. And you can start showing them by coming up out of the bike shorts/big shirt pregnancy uniform and doing a magazine-worthy photoshoot with me.

Maternity photos can be so boring.

Doing More With Less.

It’s just me, you, and a fire outfit. My photography is about minimalism - letting you shine without all the background noise. You won’t find elaborate set designs in my photography because I want you to take up all the space. My sessions are about experimenting, getting creative, and most of all enjoying yourself. All that happens when we take away the extras and embrace simplicity.

From Grace:

“It was absolutely fantastic I felt like a legit queen. It was such a safe and wonderful experience.”

Hello,  by the way

We haven’t met yet, but I’m trying the photographer trying to convince you that a maternity session is absolutely worth it. Trust me, I missed out on the opportunity with both of my kids. You won’t live a life full of regret, but you will find yourself wondering from time to time why you didn’t do it. If you’re still iffy about it, let’s get to know each other a little bit to see what makes sense for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I'm nervous about posing, will you help me?

Absolutely! We'll talk about what body parts you want to highlight or minimize then work through posing from there. Before your session, we'll talk about what physical limitations you have or what poses you may want to experiment with.

  • Do I have to do my own hair and makeup?

Yes, ma'am. I'm currently vetting makeup artists, so I don't have someone dedicated on my team just yet. You do have the option of bringing your makeup artist and having them do your makeup at the studio so everything is fresh.

  • I don't own one of those beautiful dresses, so what should I wear?

Oh babe, I have those pretty dresses for YOU! You can opt to wear one of my featured dresses (for free!) or you can bring your own.

  • What's your policy on payment and rescheduling?

It’s pretty simple actual: Your session isn’t booked until you’ve paid in full (or set up a payment plan through afterpay). If you need to cancel, you’ll get a 50% refund if you cancel more than 3 days in advance. If you cancel 3 days or less before your session, there will be no refunds. Since these are limited sessions, there will not be an option to reschedule.

  • Can you use photoshop to make me look good?

First of all, you already look good. But my retouching policy is this: I will only remove/alter things that you can cover with makeup, that will go away in a week or two anyway, or that a pair of spanx would take care of. Beyond that, I encourage you to embrace the woman you are, not the filtered AI version you might be aspiring to.
